Tomas is a lawyer from the Universidad de Navarra with a Masters in Corporate Legal Advise from IE Business School and a diploma from the Bank of Spain in Corporate Tax Law.
He started his professional career as a lawyer in 1984, founding PFCM Abogados, with a specialization in Corporate Law. His firm has focused over the years in multiple roles within the legal profession including acting as Secretary to the Board of multiple companies; adviser to companies in issues relating to the Public Administration, and in general providing legal support to companies in areas such as mergers & acquisitions, restructurings, divestitures and other relevant areas within the Corporate Finance field.
Tomas is a reputed lawyer with not only a professional background honed with multiple long-standing clients but also recognized in the academic world as a leading professor in Corporate Law, since 1986, for the IE Business School in Madrid, ranked one of the top business schools in Europe as well as other institutions such as the Universidad de Navarra.
As Secretary to the Board, Tomás provides an invaluable insight into the multiple and ever changing legal possibilities the finance world is experiencing as the private equity business evolves and the participants’ needs to adapt to new ideas and structures.
