Currently it is launching the Interactive Taxi Project, which has already installed interactive digital screens in 50 pilot taxis in Zaragoza. This number is expected to rise to 300 during 2009 and Barcelona, Valencia and Seville will be the next cities to see this service introduced.
Interactive Taxi is a new means of communication which provides taxi users with different types of information and entertainment. This can be of a general nature (GPS navigation, trailers for new film releases, weather updates, fashion, sports, current affairs …) and also local (news, leisure guides, details of shops and businesses in the city …).
Interactive taxi is already up and running in several cities (Melbourne, Vancouver, Dubai, Beijing) and responds to a current marketing trend which aims to reach users in a direct and interactive way through outdoor digital platforms.
